this is rumoured to be the new iphone 5. it looks more like an ipod touch which i think is the general idea. if i wasnt so into bbm now, i might want one.

i hate remix cuture....

the remix is a time honoured tradition in music, i posses many a remix, i have spun many a remix, but i am sick of producers being lazy and calling it remixing. i also hate the concept of pop music thieving tracks from house and electronic music. case in point is the new beyonce track, that beat is pon de floor by major lazer (diplo)... it was a huge elecronic hit in 2009/2010, and i loved it, i still play it, but now i know i am going to come to hate it. why/ because its now "that new beyonce track" and will get airplay for the next 6 years, once an hour. unoriginality breeding laziness in music.

i think i have refferenced bon iver befor pon de blog, but in case i havent here is my opinion. their first album was called "for emma, forever ago" and it is one of, if not my favourite albums of all time. i really think it was nothing short of genius and when i heard it for the first time it was really the most unique sounding album i had ever been exposed to. this is one of the most important musicians in my life, for what its worth...............

there exists a duo, called chromeo. they are canadian and they are oh so funky. listening to them is like listening to the electronic 80s, in the best way possible. the dudes can also play live, the true hallmark of talent. i love their unique sound along with their own true sense of style.....here is a lil somethin somethin to wet the appetite.and perhaps the knickers............
